Have you guys tried TasksApp by @nigeldgreen
It's a Task Manager/To Do online app that works really well, is clean and clear, mainly uses a single-screen, easy to use and fast.
No fuss Task Management. Using it for Libreture work.
@kevinbeynon @nigeldgreen well I *just* finished setting up a command-line task manager (TaskWarrior) - otherwise...
@kevinbeynon @nigeldgreen LOL - could be confusing. It has such pretty colors too...
Will look at this for my laptop. That would be cool.
I used taskwarrior before I built out tasksapp. The CLI bit really appealed to me (and the stats!), but it was ultimately harder to just do what I really needed to (track tasks without needing to tend the system too much). I reckon it would have got quicker once I really got it in my fingers, but was just too much resistance for me to really click with it.
@nigeldgreen @kevinbeynon yeah, I'm on a bit of a CLI-binge right now. I'm not really sure why exactly. Tasks, ebook server, zsh, kakoune (text editor), sc-im (spreadsheets) - all inside a Quake-style dropdown using Tilix...
@donblanco @nigeldgreen @kevinbeynon I'm a taskwarrior fan too, although I also use taskd to synchronize multiple devices (even my android phone via the TW app). Nightmare to set up, butter-smooth once done.
Back on-topic (and forgive if this is already done...) but *please* include a wait-until / show-from field. In my experience nearly all hosted task platforms don't have this, but it's essential. No point seeing all 300 of my tasks if 120 aren't relevant now...
@donblanco hit me up if you feel like giving it another shot, i'm sure I can dredge up some notes and/or sample configs from my server ;)
