So not only did I not moss IKEA at 11am, I didn't miss them all day. 9pm and still no delivery. No contact from them at all. Repeated calls to Customer Support kept promising it was just coming. Last call just now and they are shrugging, and promising a callback by 9am tomorrow with an explanation.
I am not amused. I have worked in support, I know that things go wrong. But when they do it's *honesty* with the customer that matters. If it's not coming *don't* tell me it is!
@GreyLinux yeah it happens. It's the being lied to about the status that upsets me though. Now it could be that the delivery team lied to the customer service team, and they passed that on to me in good faith - but one department or the other has a lesson to learn here in any case.
@gwmngilfen I feel your pain, I think we've all wasted a day waiting for the knock at the door .
