I think I'm about one more gnome-shell crash away from madness. I love the desktop, but I'm finding it very laggy and prone to hanging recently.
@nigeldgreen I switched to KDE, although I don't remember crashes w/ Gnome. Mainly just prefer a few differences.
I had a brief fling with KDE earlier in the year to see how I liked it. Lots I found really good about it, but the workflow on Gnome really clicks with me.
