Here is a wee story about two of our squirrels and a previous peanut feeder:

I find videos like this simultaneously motivating and demotivating. On the one hand I think โ€œI can do that.โ€ On the other hand, I try, and it comes out nowhere near as musical. And I think โ€œI canโ€™t do that.โ€ I spent a solid couple hours on tonight, so I guess she inspired more than uninspired. youtu.be/QsjGEjvDbeU

Say hello to Telephant!

I've written a little Mastodon client for the Desktop - called Telephant - and am currently looking for beta testers!

Want to help out and don't mind compiling the app yourself? (Don't worry it's fairly straight forward and I've added detailed instructions to the README!)

Join me here:

Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

For every book I sell, I pet my cat and say 'We *did* it!'

My librarians-and-necromancy fantasy is out now.

If you want, you can read the first three chapters for free here: victoriacorva.xyz/books-bone-s

I see lots of people arguing that microsoft's open source efforts are in good faith.

I don't believe that is possible, and I won't believe that is possible until microsoft releases critical components of their software under the (a)gpl version 3 or later.

Microsoft spent years operating under a model of Embrace Extend Extinguish, and we have no reason to believe that they have changed.

Microsoft is your enemy. The fact that they are embracing a thing you love should terrify you.

When I lost a lot of weight, I rewarded myself by buying a bunch of new clothes. Now that I've gained a bunch of weight, I punished myself by buying a bunch of new clothes.

I feel pretty confident that no โ€œover 50sโ€ are involved in this app or its advertisements. Why not marvel at the fact that โ€œover 50sโ€ havenโ€™t kicked the bucket yet? The only people who might find this amusing are young people. Someone should get a refund.

Want to play an interesting game around ? Play โ€œspot the person of colourโ€ in the tube. What I mean are the ads. Whether theyโ€™re selling furniture, vitamins, holidays, or toothbrushes, if you see a personโ€™s skin in an ad (either cartoon or photograph) itโ€™s probably a white person. Some days itโ€™s 90% white. Others itโ€™s 100%.

@ajroach42 i have said it before and I will keep saying

Give me the next next generation!!

I donโ€™t want prequels, I donโ€™t want movies, I only kinda want the Picard show. I want the show thatโ€™s 60-80 years after tng, 1 cameo in the first few episodes, and then all new shit. Except for the throwback eps obvs.
