Managed to place an order with Ocado using an account in my wifes name last used 4 years ago. After placing the order I changed the delivery address (moved), email account (old and dead), name (now mine) and password (was v.weak). Hopefully they won't think I've just hacked a random account to get food and cancel my order.
Not sure I trust the Tories to deviate enough from plan A to let the leaflet they're sending everyone past the porch. #COVID19
Joined my NHS worker wife at Tesco's NHS-only hour. Place was packed to the point they had to turn people away because it was too full for fire regs. We had an hour to shop but they didn't think to relax Sunday trading laws, so for half an hour hundreds of v.high exposure critical workers are packed together in stationary queues to the back of the shop. I worry now this half-baked idea could end up taking out the NHS next week when all their staff come down with #COVID19 at the same time.
I see lots of good informational posts on covid nowadays. But many of them I cannot boost.
Lots of folks are controlling their information intake on covid. My instance, and many others, requires CWs for anything related to covid or coronavirus.
Please consider CWing your informational posts.
We already had one email from a concerned customer about whether our firewalls are patched against coronavirus. That's quite a species leap. #covid19
Checked if we had spare toilet rolls in case we struggle to find any in the shops. Turns out we have been stockpiling them for some time #covid19
A day before he turns 20 months my son has made his ever first purchase, an extraordinarily expensive rental of Strictly Come Dancing on Prime Video. In other news I've realised it's time to put pin numbers on everything linked to my bank card. #dadding
Reading Absolute OpenBSD's section on hard disk partitioning and it really is as terrifying as I assumed it would be. How are we in 2019 and still letting an OS worry about drive geometry? It's not even based on physical properties anymore (if it ever was), it's a layer cake of bullshit that should've been obsoleted a generation ago.
I don't think I ever did a proper #introductions. I'm a 34yo British bloke, married to a wonderful woman and we have a 14 day old baby boy, a 9yo pupper and a 5yo cat. I'm a Network engineer scratching my way further into network security. I've been been on the Fediverse since identi.ca ran on Laconica (a long time ago). I'm a licenced #hamradio op and I dabble in hobby electronics and photography. I am also slowly learning German and getting into gardening to keep these bones moving.
