@stsquad It looks like overall they are trying to turn the chip into a real product. The high-speed bus (pci, xhci, ethernet, h264/h265/vp9, dma) appears to be taken from a different product line altogether.
The PCIe is odd because it doesn't actually use the GIC for MSI, and it seems to be severely limited in addressing (32 bit DMA address space is not enough to reach all of the 4GB of RAM plus the PCI MMIO space).

Oh, they stopped throwing away the controller included with the product in order to replace it with some patch wires? Nice!
