The Dinosaur Dave<p>This weeks <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/Lego" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lego</span></a> <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/FossilFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FossilFriday</span></a> is <a href="https://sauropods.win/tags/Daspletosaurus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Daspletosaurus</span></a> (trex shown)</p><p>In 1921, Charles Mortram Sternberg found the skull, the shoulder, a forelimb, the pelvis, a femur, and all of the vertebrae from the neck, torso, and hip, as well as the first eleven tail vertebrae of what he thought was a new Gorgosaurus<br>In 1970, Dale Russell finally fully described that specimen and found it was distinct enough to be renamed to Daspletosaurus. <br>In 2001 a second, more complete specimen was found in the same area.</p>
