My 11th #EscapeRoom was in London, UK https://www.thegameisnow.com/
(so far 6 countries, 8 cities, and 8th escaped room)
We went in with another group in parallel (a Chinese group, and they had a translated version of the game and I'm kinda curious how that looks/sounds like) and escaped at the exact same time! What are the odds? They were a group of 4 vs our 2.
Ok I lied... #EscapeRoom 11 was in Dublin last September, so London was 12.
I squeezed my teammates from work into an abandoned, crippled boat, and we managed to get out in just under 45 min. Nobody drowned (whew). Considering some of us were meeting for the first time that day, it was great teamwork!
#Escaperoom 13 & 14 are both by lgames.fi, Holy Grail in Tampere and Flying Dutchman in Helsinki respectively. We took a few min longer to escape the Dutchman than the Grail (35m), although it was supposed to be easier. Both room themes were cool though, can recommend
Current tally: 14 games, 11 escaped, 7 countries, 10 cities
Forgot to record this ealier:
#Escaperoom 15 @ Escape Hunt Lisbon in Feb 2024.
The White Rabbit who's running late and the Mad Hatter who's stuck at tea time, somehow made their escape from The Great Fair with almost 8 minutes to spare.
For #escaperoom 16 we returned to Labyrinth game #Tampere and conquered The Great Mind under 50min.
The puzzles were relatively easy, but many required collecting several clues to piece together to solve them, so for a while it felt like we were not making much progress. Not my favorite.
Two years ago we escaped "Trains" at wayout.fi and this time we fled "Royal Betty" around 6 minutes before our doom.
Both were thematic and well executed providing nice immersive experiences. We required a couple of hints to solve the interesting puzzles in this 17th #escaperoom but it didn't distract from the overall experience.
Another #LabyrinthGames location, this time in #Turku, Finland.
We were Trapped in a bloody room but managed to escape after 40+ minutes.
I'm not a big fan of jump scares and there were a couple in this one, but at least no one lost a limb.
18th #escaperoom
Team building in an #escaperoom is fun! Jurassic Park in Universal #Orlando's #GreatMovieEscape contains a series of small rooms that you solve puzzles in rather than a bigger room (or two) that you escape from. They'll also advance you to the next room after a certain time whether or not you solved all puzzles in the room, and score you accordingly. We scored 16/20, and I think 3-4 persons is optimal (there's not enough tasks for so many people plus the rooms are small). Need to try BTTF next!
